MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!

Bravo keeper Alyssa Naeher has won the 2019 Women's World Cup!  She was the hero against England in the semi final, making a top shelf save in the first half (image below), and saving a late penalty kick to preserve a 2-1 win!  This makes her third World Cup Winners Medal, after being the backup for the World Cup in 2015, and she won the u20 World Cup receiving the Gold Glove award for best GK.  A Seymour, CT native also wears the #1 jersey for the Chicago Red Stars in the NWSL.  She was a long term student of Coach Paul's from just 13 years old until she left for Penn State, completing 2300 hours of training together in that time.

At Bravo, we are soccer goalkeeper specific. Whatever your goalkeeping need, we have a solution. We can be your source of regular training year round, a seasonal training option, or supplemental to your club, town, or school keeper training.  We offer training sessions regularly throughout the year, and Academy style programs for the keeper looking to make a big commitment.

We are interested in the development of all goalkeepers, whether female or male, any age, from any town, club, or school, of any level of ability.  We prefer to work out a specific training plan that covers individual needs, whether it be year-round, seasonal, supplemental, academy, or somewhere in-between.  Even if you already get seasonal gk coaching elsewhere, through school or club or town, Bravo can fill in what they don't cover.  For those who want to make a regular year-round commitment, we offer academy style training, flexibility, and pricing.  We have sessions most days, with various training and GK fitness scenarios including recording, watching, and dissecting video of training and game footage.

Contact us to coordinate participation.  We can discuss an individual plan and schedule the appropriate training, or you can simply sign up for a clinic.  Click the Training tab to see a calendar of open clinics currently available and their specifics, while additional training dates, times, and scenarios can also be created.  Bravo can accommodate individuals, groups, clubs, and any other keepers who would like to train together.  Click the Services tab for pricing.

When goalkeeping chooses you, choose Bravo... and Play for Keeps!

Paul  DelloStritto

Owner, est. 1997

Coach Paul has been a full time soccer goalkeeper coach throughout Connecticut since 1997, focusing primarily on long term youth goalkeeper development.  Favoring academy style training, his long term students train consistently from the time they are identified until they leave for college and sometimes beyond, with training relationships lasting up to ten years.  Over two decades, Paul has developed hundreds of training relationships of various commitment levels, with some of the bigger commitment students listed below.

Paul has also been gk clinician for various clubs, towns, schools, clinics, camps, etc. GK Director and Clinician for the Connecticut Football Club (CFC) from 2000-2019. CT ODP Boys + Girls GK Coach from 2000-2006, and in that time 13 Region 1 and 4 National Pool GKs.  GK coach for numerous CT Universities, including: womens programs at Yale University, SCSU, Quinnipiac University, Post University, Fairfield University, Sacred Heart university, University of Hartford, Wesleyan University, and Trinity College... and mens programs at Wesleyan University, Trinity College, and  University of New Haven.  GK coach for over 25 different CT high schools, with over 15 State Championships.

Originally from Northford, CT, Paul graduated from North Branford High School and Ithaca College, NY with a BA in Speech Communication.  Paul played Indoor Soccer for over 10 years, with teams such as the Massachusetts Twisters (NISL, AISL - 2006/7 AISL Champions) out of Springfield, and Connecticut Academica FC (AISL, NPSL) out of Winsted.  Outdoor he has spent the last 15 seasons with Danbury United FC (SASL) (2008+9 Regional Champs and National O-30 Open Cup Semi Finalists, also 2007, 2010 + 2017 Regional Finalists).

A few of Paul's long term students:

Alyssa Naeher - the current USA #1 and one of Bravo's finest.  Alyssa and coach Paul spent 2300 hours training together in 7 years - almost entirely 1on1, with a heavy emphasis on technique.  Alyssa was on every possible youth US National team in those training years between 12 and 18 years old.  A scholarship to Penn State with All American honors, a u20 World Cup win with Gold Glove honors, and a first round pro draft pick to the Boston Breakers would follow in coming years.   Fast forward to present day, she is still using the same technique that was drilled in all those hours at Indian Ledge Park in Trumbull, CT over a dozen years ago!

Jami Kranich -  A 10 year training relationship, now a colleague!  Jami and Paul began at u11, and trained consistently over 2100 hours into her college years...  leading to a u20 World Cup win with the US u20 National team while on a scholarship at Villanova, and later to be drafted by the Boston Breakers.  Even before she grew into a tremendous physical specimen, Jami has always been a very technical keeper and a pleasure to be around.  Since her pro playing days, she has become a successful GK/asst coach now a full assistant at Boston College.  All that training is now being regurgitated!

Nikki Weiss - Coach Paul followed Nikki around CT for 8 years, first meeting her when she was 11 playing up at u13 ODP.  He was at nearly every game she played from 12 years old on, through ODP, to club, and HIgh School.  They trained together for a total of 1800 hours, with a huge emphasis on tactics and gameday instruction... on fields from here, to the middle of nowhere, to State finals in Willowbrook Stadium with Immaculate HS.  She accepted a scholarship to Notre Dame, where she won the NCAA National Championship playing in her final game senior year!

Jill Mastroianni - Starting together in early days of premier, through every year of ODP, in 3 of her years at Choate, and in many private sessions and clinics... Jill and Paul trained in a variety of ways over 7 years, and racked up over 1000 hours.  She went on to be an All American while playing on scholarship at Boston College where she was a standout ACC player.  A super athlete with the strongest mentality!

Jackie Fede - The first Bravo long term GK!  Jackie and Paul trained many years together, from u9 into high school.  During that time, he was the assistant coach on her club team for many seasons, trained her throughout ODP, and spent a couple seasons with her at Cheshire High.  Jackie was always a hugely gifted keeper with hands that could catch anything and  everything.   Overall excellent technique and mechanics, and super tough in the smother!  Highly successful and decorated in her years of top notch play in club and ODP, at Cheshire High, in college at URI, and at SCSU where honors garnered in her final college season include NE-10 Conference and ECAC GK of the Year, SCSU single-season shutout record, All-Region, and All-New England.  A fan favorite!

Susie Starr - One of the early Bravo keepers, Susie and Paul spent 1500 hours through 6 years training at club, ODP, and Fairfield High School where she was a 2x Scholar-Athlete All American.  One of the best High School keepers in memory, she seemed to make a huge game-preserving last minute save every game!  Susie went on to play at Yale, where Paul had the pleasure of coaching her again in her Junior year.

Claire Pinciaro - One of the most tactically gifted Bravo keepers, at 13 yrs old Claire had the talk of a pro.  She and Paul shared a special training relationship from 12-18 yrs old, through club, ODP, and at Masuk High School.  1500 hours trained, during which she made the Region 1 team, and prepared for a career at Princeton where she capped her senior year with an Ivy League Championship.  A highly intelligent and unique person, also a skilled keeper with incredible tactical play.

Allie Augur - Allie and Paul completed an incredible 3500 hours of training together... having used the maximum time available by spending 6 days every week together for 7 years, enjoying a strong bond throughout, sharing the same hometown of Northford CT.  Training focused mostly on 1on1, together at club since u13 including nearly all games and team practices, and together at North Branford High in fall of her senior year where she graduated as Valedictorian and Class President.  She has won nearly every award available to date, including being named 2x All American and 2019 CT Player of the Year, as well as earning a scholarship to Boston College beginning fall 2019.  The definition of commitment and the standard for mental toughness, Allie has tremendous technique and saving ability, coupled with high level tactics including advanced talk and dynamic distribution - developed through a huge amount of reps, discussion, fitness, and personal connection.
